The following are a list of questions that we hear most frequently from club members, golf professionals, general managers, board members and golf committees.

Club Member Questions

How does ForeTees work?

ForeTees is an online tee time reservation system designed specifically for private country clubs. Members have 24/7 access to their club’s tee sheet from anywhere in the world where there is internet access. The system recognizes each member, spouse, and dependent as they login, and allows that individual to make tee times accordingly without breaking any of the course restrictions already in place at your club.

What if I don’t have access to a computer to make a tee time?

Good News! Nothing has changed. You can still call and make a tee time, and you can still walk up and make a tee time. ForeTees just provides another option for members to book their times 24/7. ForeTees means fewer busy signals and less time spent on hold when calling the Golf Shop!

How far in advance can I make a tee time?

The system can be set up to take tee times exactly as you take tee times now. Nothing has changed.

What if I need to change my tee time or cannot play at all?

You can make changes on ForeTees just as if you were calling the Golf Shop. If the change is made this way, ForeTees will automatically email everyone in the foursome notifying them that the tee time has been modified. Likewise, whenever a tee time is made, ForeTees will email these members and notify them that they have a tee time on a particular day. ForeTees always keeps you abreast of what is going on with your tee times and event entries.

Can I sign up other members to play in my foursome?

Yes, and there is no typing necessary. ForeTees is very user-friendly. You may select members from an alpha-pad by last name and add them to your tee time with a point and click of the mouse. ForeTees also allows you to create a “Partners” list containing members with whom you play most frequently. The “Partners” list can expedite your tee time making process.

Can another member delete my tee time from the tee sheet?

If a tee time is filled with members, guests or Xs (Xs=TBD), only the members in that particular tee time may alter the reservation. If the tee time is not full, other members may enter the reservation and add themselves to the tee time. Whenever there is a modification to the tee time, however, everyone in the group is notified via an automatic email confirmation of the change as well as who made the change. ForeTees always lets you know the status of your tee times.

Golf Professional Questions

Does ForeTees recognize and enforce member restrictions?

Yes. All of your restrictions can be handled by ForeTees so that no member can break them. The Golf Professional staff has the ability to override any tee time or tee time restriction on the tee sheet. Based on club rules, the pro shop sets up the initial parameters which govern play (e.g. days in advance members can make tee times, start and end times for tee sheets, minutes between tee times, guest restrictions, member restrictions, etc.).

Can ForeTees keep track of the number of rounds played?

ForeTees includes extensive record-keeping and reporting capabilities. Among numerous other reports, it tracks tee time counts, no-shows, number of rounds by members, guests, membership categories, and member logins to the website.

Does ForeTees support lotteries?

Yes. ForeTees easily manages lottery requests and lottery processing for four types of lotteries: weighted by frequency, weighted by proximity, random and pro shop select.

Can the golf shop manage event sign up online?

Yes. Your professional staff can enter all events and event information for the season in ForeTees, and can set up the system to automatically open and close sign up on specified dates. Event sign up also incorporates a built-in wait list and a one-step broadcast email feature.

General Managers, Board Members, Golf Committee Questions

How much does ForeTees cost?

The cost is determined by the number of club members that are entered into the ForeTees database. Per member, ForeTees costs less than the average handicap fee that all members must pay to maintain an official handicap index.

Will it actually work?

Without a doubt. ForeTees boasts over 400 clients, many of which are Top 100 golf clubs. These clubs have exerted significant effort in performing their due diligence.

Does ForeTees integrate with our web site?

Yes, we work with numerous web site providers including, but not limited to, MembersFirst, Club Essential and IntraClub. A significant added benefit of using ForeTees is that it generally increases traffic through the club’s web site by more than ten-fold.

What about resistance from “older” club members?

Implementing the ForeTees reservation system does not take away tee time options, it simply provides an additional option that is faster and easier. It provides the member with more information that he or she can use to make a decision about when to play. If a member chooses not to use the online reservation system, s/he may still call the pro shop to make a tee time or walk up and make a tee time. Nearly without exception, ForeTees’ clients report that their older members embrace the online system with as much enthusiasm as the rest of the membership.

How do we know the information on the system is secure?

ForeTees has taken extensive precautions to ensure that our server, and therefore, your website will remain secure. For more details please contact a ForeTees sales person.

Do other companies provide this service?

There are other companies that provide online tee time systems. Unlike ForeTees, however, these systems were not designed by golf professionals and they were not designed specifically for private country clubs. Furthermore, while other systems may offer limited customizations, ForeTees is fully customizable so that each club’s specific needs can be met.
