ForeTees Mobile Key: Unlocking New Possibilities
September 2025
The best club experience starts at the door.
ForeTees has partnered with Black Creek Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee to pilot our new Mobile Key feature. The club’s goal was to better manage and track member access to their Fitness Center. Since launching this spring, they’ve already surpassed 7,500 successful mobile entries by over 400 unique members, a clear indicator of member adoption and operational ease.
“Our members were already comfortable with the ForeTees interface, so rolling out gym access through the same credentials was seamless, and it reassured everyone we were keeping off-site facilities exclusive to current members.”
Over the past four years, I’ve come to rely on ForeTees as an exceptional tool for tee times, dining reservations, and member communications. So, when we opened an off-site fitness center, integrating ForeTees for secure member access was a natural choice. The ForeTees team built upon the existing Check-In feature to drive our door-lock system in just a few months, in partnership with a local access-control vendor.
As this was a beta integration, there was a learning curve, but the responsiveness and expertise of the ForeTees support team meant any issues were addressed almost instantly. Today, the system runs flawlessly.
Because ForeTees synchronizes nightly our membership roster, and therefore access permissions stay perfectly up to date. And the usage reports we receive are invaluable for planning and staffing decisions. Looking ahead, we plan to expand this solution to our off-site racquet courts and new fitness facilities throughout the community.

What is the ForeTees Mobile Key?
The ForeTees Mobile Key transforms club access into a secure, seamless, and premium experience. Built with Sentry Interactive's Near Field Communication (NFC), this feature enables members to unlock designated entrances—like fitness centers, locker rooms, or pool areas—simply by tapping their smartphone within the ClubCentral app.
Plus, with temporary guest passes, clubs can grant short-term access to family, friends, or day-pass users. Once the time window expires, access is automatically revoked—boosting both security and member convience.
How it works:
Club member and/or guests tap their mobile device on the passive NFC door tile.
The mobile NFC reader connects with the cloud and the club's member roster.
The cloud signals the access controller.
The door unlocks.
What is Near Field Communication (NFC)? NFC is a short-range wireless technology that allows devices to communicate with each other when they’re just a few centimeters apart. It’s the same tech behind tap-to-pay at stores — but it’s now finding smart, practical uses in private club and golf operations.
