Mid-Year Update: A Look Back and Ahead

July 2025

As we celebrate our progress, we want to take a moment to reflect on our journey.

As we move into the second half of 2025, the ForeTees team has been hard at work launching powerful new features. From expanding our club management capabilities to rolling out updates across our member and staff apps, we’ve kept innovation at the forefront of everything we do. But great innovation starts with great roots—and there’s no better time than now to reflect on how ForeTees grew from a single idea into the industry’s most comprehensive private club platform.

The ForeTees Story: From Tee Times to Total Club Management

2002: A Simple Idea to Solve a Common Problem

In 2001, Bob Parise was just a golf-loving member at Dellwood Hills Golf Club, now known as Dellwood Country Club, in St. Paul, Minnesota — but he also happened to be a skilled software developer with a knack for solving problems.

At the time, tee times at private clubs were still being booked the old-fashioned way: through endless phone calls, handwritten sheets, and lots of frustration. The golf staff at Dellwood, overwhelmed by the daily chaos of the tee sheet, approached Bob with a question that would change the future of club operations: “Do you think you could build something to manage tee times online?”

That request led to the development of a custom-built tee time reservation system — the earliest version of what would soon become ForeTees. As Bob brought the technical side to life, the golf professionals at Dellwood were instrumental partners, offering constant feedback, real-world perspective, and hands-on testing. The system quickly proved to be a game-changer.

By 2002, ForeTees was live and gaining traction. Within a few years, it was in use at some of the top clubs in the country, helping staff operate more efficiently and members book more easily. What started as a favor quickly grew into a company with a mission: to make club technology simpler, smarter, and more connected.

Expanding Beyond the Tee Sheet

By 2010, the company launched its mobile solution, just one year after the App Store debuted - ushering clubs into a new digital era. ForeTees grew beyond golf. In 2010, we introduced systems for reserving everything from tennis courts to fitness centers and more. In the coming years, dining and caddie management systems were launched as well.

Clubs could manage events, clinics, and lessons — all through one connected platform. Logins had reached over 100 million. With the launch of our member-facing app (ClubCentral) and dedicated staff tools, ForeTees became a complete digital hub for club life. Members could book services, place food orders, receive notifications, and stay connected.

In 2015, Our acquisition of Club62 enabled cloud-based club management. We introduced ForeTees Business, a unified platform for member-facing and back-office tools. ForeTees grew into a comprehensive CRM for clubs—offering unified member profiles, account history, dues management, and financial tools.

ForeTees is now more than just a reservation tool — it’s a full club management system. From CRM and communications to lesson tracking, billing, surveys, and analytics. Our goal was to create a platform that complements the entire club. So, that's what we did.

And we aren't done yet.

Where We Are Now: 2025 and Beyond

In 2025, we’ve taken another major leap forward. This year, we launched our new cloud-based point of sale system. We’ve also introduced exciting new app features — including golf bag requests, custom-branded app icons, mobile key access, and more. And we’re not slowing down.

We’ll continue enhancing ForeTees with new capabilities, while also exploring how artificial intelligence can help clubs operate smarter, faster, and more efficiently than ever before.

ForeTees has come a long way from its roots, transforming from a standalone tee-sheet into a holistic, tech-forward club management platform. As we move into the second half of the year, you can expect even more enhancements designed to elevate your members’ experience and make life easier for your staff.
