Food Ordering: There's an App for That

The game-changing app feature that fires orders directly to point of sale.

In the club industry, speed and accuracy matter. And with technology at the forefront, it’s become a priority for ForeTees to provide the best and most reliable tools in the private club space. Early on into the initial release of Food Ordering, it became a goal to integrate directly with our Point-of-Sale system, enabling members to place orders right from their native ClubCentral app and tickets arrive directly to the kitchen.

This summer, Dellwood Country Club put this integration to the test, seeing and learning firsthand how connecting Mobile Food Ordering to POS transformed efficiency, accuracy, and the overall member experience.

In Conversation with Dellwood Country Club

Over the years, we have continued to evolve this product in collaboration with our club partners. Dellwood Country Club in St. Paul, Minnesota, is one of those clubs leading the way. Dellwood had used Food Ordering early on but saw the need for even greater efficiency through direct integration with the ForeTees Point of Sale system.

Dellwood saw an opportunity to modernize ordering at their outdoor pool and went for it. The result was a dramatic increase in efficiency and accuracy compared to their previous standalone setup. Over the course of 3 months, there were over 1,200 orders made directly from the member's ClubCentral app.

With direct communication between the app and POS, both staff and members benefited from a smoother, faster process. Members appreciated the convenience to browse the menu at their leisure and place an order without leaving their pool chair. Dellwood was able to focus the staffing on the clubhouse runners for delivering the food to the indicated table number members were at poolside.

Looking ahead, Dellwood plans to expand the use of Food Ordering within the ClubCentral app to include to-go orders and potentially delivery to nearby homes. As winter approaches and cozy nights in become more enticing, these efforts will help the club stay relevant to it's members. We are proud to collaborate with Dellwood and look forward to continuing to develop tools that help clubs enhance the member experience.

Club Industry Perspective

We are seeing private clubs embrace technology that the broader hospitality world has relied on for years, and it is clear that members are looking for that same level of convenience. As the next generation of staff and members enter the club world, the demand for mobile-first experiences continues to grow.

Clubs that are adapting to these changes are finding greater efficiency, stronger member satisfaction, and higher participation. What was once a phone call or a paper ticket is now a quick tap in an app, giving members the same ease they experience at their favorite restaurants while preserving the elevated service that defines private clubs.
